Hebrews 12: God Disciplines His Sons

Today, I read Hebrews 12. In this chapter, the topic changes to God's discipline. Yes, this is also the verse with Hebrews 12:1.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin taht so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

Okay, anyways... I like Hebrews 12:1, as it helps me to realized the sin in my life is like a weight dragging me down in the race I am running. I need to get rid of the weight so I can actually run.

About discipline, this chapter says that God disciplines us as a father disciplines a child, and it is for our good. He does it because He loves us... and we should not take God's discipline too lightly. It will come, and it will hurt.

Since our earthly fathers discipline us and we respect them, how much more should we respect our God? Strengthen yourself, run with perseverance. A warning follows: do not refuse God, You can not escape Him and His wrath. He is an all consuming fire.

I like this chapter a lot, it tells me a lot about what I should be doing in my life.

6.24 OUTRAGEOUS RISK

okayyyyyy so we were playing risk 2210...AND THEN. I HAD LAND DEATH TRAP, which kills half of the attacking units, right????

SO THEN DAVID HAD THIS HUGE ARMY ABOTU TO ATTACK ME.

so he says LETS GO DJIBOUTI!

and then i activate it. AND HES LIKE OH WAIT I PLAY FREQUENCY JAM WHICH JAMS ALL COMMAND CARDS..

but frequency jam can only be played BEFORE he declares an invasion

BUT HE DID! HE SAID LETS GO DJIBOUTI! so im likeeeeeee U DECLARED AN INVASION

and hes like no maybe i was having a staring contest with it!

so he does rock paper scissors and WINS! and then his huge army blows me up! ANd THEN I DIE! he rolls sixes EVERY TURN LOL so then i get annihalated by his sixes and im like

U WON BECAUSE OF THAT STUPID ROCK PAPER SCISSORS.. or else he would have lost half of his units..

IM wRITING ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IM BORED! lol. YEA. THAT IS THE LAMEST GAME OF RISK EVER HAHA

yep thats it for now............ i should do some reading on my enriched patterns assignment..didnt even start yet hehehe. well anywayssss im hungry.

my epic battle with a mutant spider

OMG sooooo i felt like i had to put a post on this cuz it was SO EPIC. and scary.

so there was this HUGE spider on the wall. and if you know me. you know im like terrified of spiders.... SO i asked molly what to do. and she told me to throw a shoe at it. SO I KNOCKED IT OFF THE WALL
BUT IT WAS ALIVE!
so i began an epic battle with it. and it was fierce and ferocious. and then i whacked it repeatedly. and now i think its dead. PHEW. but its just lying there....scary... o_O

Hebrews 11: By Faith

Today, I read Hebrews 11. The book of Hebrews is an interesting book that focuses on the underlying topic of Jesus as our high priest. It focuses on the doing away of the old covenant, and how it was a shadow of the new covenant. The old covenant on earth was but a shadow of the heavenly things, and Jesus is now our high priest.

Here, in Hebrews 11, the theme suddenly changes to center around faith. It continues to talk about each person throughout Scripture who has had faith in God. Some examples would be Abel, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

How important faith is!

Prayer Requests
1. Spiritual growth, growth in faith
2. Ability to see what God wants me to do each and every day
3. Commitment to daily confession
4. Success in making arrangements for grandparents to come visit the US, maybe the last time
5. Encouragement to continue studies in Chinese, Business Computer Applications, and in the Enriched Patterns book annotation diligently
6. Preparation of heart for missions
7. Pray for the city of Chicago, and pray for Naperville
8. Pray for encounters arranged by God, divine appointments
